Free public showing of Al Gore’s award-winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”

Environmentalists have something to celebrate this Earth Day with the recent Supreme Court decision affirming that the agency known as the EPA (you may vaguely remember it as the “Environmental Protection Agency”) does in fact, have some obligation to enforce the laws Congress has passed to reduce auto emissions. Al Gore has been doing his part to convince even the most committed skeptic that global warming is real and science has the data to prove it. Join the Democratic Meet-Up for a FREE showing of Gore’s Oscar-winning film, “An Inconvenient Truth” this Wednesday night, April 11, at 7:00 pm at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 601 Union Hall, 3301 N. Boardwalk Drive, Champaign. You won’t want to miss the film, which brought Gore and the environment back into the national spotlight. The film will be followed by an audience discussion led by David Kovacic, Professor of Ecology at the University of Illinois. Thanks to the IBEW for hosting this event.
